The annual Christmas Parade in Magnolia, Texas took place this morning and of course Santa was there. We had a great time.

A red and green Italian cafe I’ve been looking at for awhile, trying to figure out the best way to paint it. I saw it in San Francisco probably on Columbus Avenue. See more at MelindaPatrick.com. Contact me directly at melindapatrick@gmail.com.

Another blast from the past

Putting things away after the fire evacuation (we live in one of the recent fire evacuation zones in Texas), I came across this old business card from so long ago I don’t like to think about it. I was married to the father of my children before we had children. My uncles owned a lithographic printing company and printed it for me. Business cards were a complicated thing back then. This was an ink drawing derived from one of my college sketches.

When we visit Naples, Florida, we always stop by Tin City and have lunch at one of the riverside restaurants. I’ve studied this scene many times over iced tea and crab salad. See more at MelindaPatrick.com.

I walked down this alley snapping photos when I was in Key West. As it says in the title, it was dusk and the shadows were sharper than on regular streets since this was so narrow and felt like a deep canyon. See more at MelindaPatrick.com. Contact me directly at melindapatrick@gmail.com.
