My painting Hey Cupcake! is the June image on the Aquent 2013 Calendar: See all the art on Aquent’s Facebook page. My friend Dale visited over the holiday. I’ve known Dale since 7th grade. I’d given her some of my art a long time ago because it needed a home and the paintings were of her. This is my first oil painting. My grandfather had it for a lot of years before Dale got it. I [...] Some of my old high school friends recently found another of our friends – Laura. Laura reminded me that I drew a picture of her and our friend Sonja back then and she still has the drawing. I have no recollection of ever drawing them but I’ll quote the guy who said “it was the [...] We knew Ronnie when we were in high school. He was not. He was from Shreveport and lived on West Gray in Houston with other Shreveporters. He had the longest fingernails of anybody I ever knew. I did a lot of people sketching in those days and convinced him to sit still in that old [...] A tree branch or something fell on a power line and we lost power for about an hour. I used my down time to sit on the front porch and watch for power company trucks. A herd of 6 deer came through the woods and across my driveway. [...] The annual Christmas Parade in Magnolia, Texas took place this morning and of course Santa was there. We had a great time. Mark Nesmith and I are part of Artists of Texas.
